Flashback ' 87

West Cliff Drive........what fun driving a car full of kids in this car! I still cherish a letter from her friend Nealy Jones who proclaimed it was the best day of her life (or some such overstated words) when the 6th Grade Happy Valley Girls team won the Santa Cruz City basketball tourney over all the big schools and went for a victory lap along West Cliff Drive to Capitola and then hunkered down for burgers/fries and shakes at Pontiac Grill, the local diner. I had to rent a second 59 PINK caddy limo to hold them all....complete with lady driver and cherry cokes. Coaches drove my car......yep the girls were in heaven and it made quite an impression on them. Several of those Harbor High/Cal Poly woman have now used the car in their own wedding ceremonies many years later!
